Lorne Ashley

Freelance live audio and playback engineer based in Copenhagen, with two decades of live events, international touring, artist-facing technical support and studio production. Strong on Allen & Heath and Midas consoles, and an advanced Ableton Live and MIDI engineer.

I bridge what artists need creatively with what the production needs practically, across FOH, monitors, playback and show operation. Calm in high-pressure live environments, where preparation, reliability and clear communication matter most.

What I do

  • FOH engineering: live mix, artist and client communication, show preparation and practical problem-solving.
  • Monitor engineering: stage-facing communication, IEM and wedge workflows, fast changeovers and musician support.
  • Playback and MIDI engineering: DAW or DAW-less show playback, session prep, stems, cues, redundant rigs and studio-to-stage builds.
  • Production, stage and road management: show-day coordination, advancing, logistics and calm problem-solving between artists, crew, venues and production.
