Terms
How studio projects with Echo Era Audio work. Version 1.0, valid from 29 September 2026.
Echo Era Audio · Lorne Ashley · Copenhagen, Denmark · CVR 41971304 · info@echoeraaudio.com
These terms cover studio work: song writing, production, mixing and mastering. Mentorship and live work have their own terms.
1. How a project starts
- You fill in the onboarding form and accept these terms.
- I send you a written quote with the price, what's included and a rough timeline. A quote is valid for 14 days.
- Your project is confirmed when you accept the quote in writing (a reply is fine) and pay the 1/3 deposit.
- Work starts once the deposit has arrived.
Nothing is binding on price until you've seen and accepted the quote.
2. Prices
Prices are per song.
| Service | Incl. 25% VAT | Ex. VAT |
|---|---|---|
| Song writing + production | DKK 31,250 | DKK 25,000 |
| Full production | DKK 25,000 | DKK 20,000 |
| Finish | DKK 15,000 | DKK 12,000 |
| Mix + master | DKK 8,125 | DKK 6,500 |
| Master | DKK 1,250 | DKK 1,000 |
More songs, lower price per song: Single + B-side (2 songs) 10% off · EP (3–6) 15% · Album (7–10) 20% · Extended album (11–15) 25%.
VAT (moms). Danish clients, and private clients in the EU, pay 25% VAT. Businesses in the EU with a valid VAT number, and clients outside the EU, are usually invoiced without Danish moms. Tell me your tax region in the form and I'll get it right.
Currency. Prices are set in Danish kroner (DKK). I invoice in DKK, EUR, GBP or USD; an invoice in EUR, GBP or USD is the DKK price converted at the exchange rate on the invoice date. Amounts shown in other currencies on this website are a guide.
Fast turnaround is available on request, when my schedule allows: delivery within 1 week +25%, within 3 days +50% of the project price.
Extra revisions (see section 4): DKK 1,250 each incl. VAT (DKK 1,000 ex. VAT).
3. Payment
- 1/3 deposit to confirm and start the project.
- The remaining balance is due on final approval (see section 5).
- Invoices are due within 8 days.
- Final files are released once everything is paid.
- Late payment may incur interest and reminder fees as allowed under Danish law.
4. Notes and revisions
I want you to love the result, so there's a clear difference between notes and revisions.
Notes are included until you're happy. A note is anything that brings the track closer to what we agreed: levels, balance, sounds, edits, timing, “the snare feels too loud”. Send them as time-stamped comments in Samply.
Revisions are changes of mind. A revision is a change that goes back on something already signed off, for example a new arrangement, a different tempo or key, new vocal takes after the mix has started, or reopening a finished stage.
- Production: we agree the direction first. After that, going back on the direction is a revision.
- Mix: 2 revisions included.
- Master: 1 revision included.
- Extra revisions: DKK 1,250 each incl. VAT.
- A completely new direction is quoted as new work.
5. Time limits and sign-off
These keep projects moving and are the same for everyone.
- Reply window: after I send you a version, you have 5 working days to reply with notes or approval. If I hear nothing, that version counts as approved and we move to the next stage.
- Notes window: each stage (production, mix, master) is open for notes for 14 days from its first version. After that the stage is signed off.
- Final version: once the final master is delivered, you have 5 working days to approve it or raise anything. If I hear nothing, it counts as approved and the final invoice is issued.
- If you need to pause the project, tell me. Projects paused for more than 60 days may be closed and invoiced for the work done so far.
6. How we work together
- Samply is your project portal for all uploads, versions, time-stamped comments and final files. Please send files through Samply unless we agree otherwise.
- Notion is your project page for progress, links and references.
- WhatsApp is for quick, conversational messages.
7. What you get
Unless the quote says otherwise, every package except Master includes final masters (WAV and MP3), group stems, individual tracks and the session file. TV or instrumental versions can be added on request. Master includes one stereo master file.
8. Rights and credits
Rights
- You own the master recording of the work you've paid for, once it's paid in full.
- I don't ask for points on the master unless we agree it in writing.
- If I co-write a song, we agree the writing split in writing before release, and I keep my share of the songwriting (publishing) for my part.
- I may use the finished, released work in my portfolio and showreels.
- You confirm you have the rights to any material you send me (samples, stems, lyrics, recordings).
Credits
Credits are a condition of the agreement, not a favour. Every role I perform on your release must be credited to Lorne Ashley, spelled exactly like that, for example:
- Producer, co-producer or additional production
- Mixing engineer and mastering engineer
- Songwriter / composer and arranger, where I've co-written or arranged
- Every instrument or part I play or program: guitar, bass, keys, synths, drum programming, backing vocals and so on
These credits go into all release metadata: your distributor (for example DistroKid, TuneCore or AWAL), streaming services' credits, physical and digital liner notes, and any press or sync information.
With your final files I'll send a credit sheet listing my exact credits for each song. Please use it when you upload the release. I also need the release date and ISRC codes once you have them, so I can register my performances (for example with Gramex) and songwriting (with KODA) where relevant.
If credits are missing or wrong after release, please correct them with your distributor within 30 days of me pointing it out.
9. Your right to cancel (private clients)
If you're booking as a private person, EU law gives you 14 days to cancel the agreement from the day the project is confirmed, without giving a reason.
- Because most clients want to start straight away, the form asks you to request that work starts within the 14 days.
- If you then cancel within the 14 days, you pay for the work done up to that point.
- Once the work is fully delivered, the right to cancel ends.
To cancel, email info@echoeraaudio.com with your name, your project and a clear statement that you want to cancel.
10. Cancelling after that
If you cancel outside the 14-day period (or as a business), the deposit is non-refundable once work has started, and any work done beyond the deposit is invoiced.
11. Your data
I keep your details in Notion, Samply and my bookkeeping system (Billy), only to run your project and invoice it. I don't share them with anyone else. Bookkeeping records are kept for 5 years as Danish law requires; ask me any time to delete anything else.
This website counts visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and collects no personal data. If you arrive from an ad or another website, that source is passed along in the page address and saved with your project request, so I know which ads work. Nothing is stored on your device.
12. Responsibility
I take care of your files and back them up during the project, and keep them for at least 6 months after delivery. My total liability for a project is limited to the price paid for it.
13. If something goes wrong
Talk to me first. Almost everything can be sorted with a conversation. Danish law applies. Private clients in Denmark can also complain to Nævnenes Hus.
