My Work

Over the years, I’ve done a bunch of cool stuff and worked with some incredible artists. I’ve written for Cher, done playback in stadiums around the globe with Il Divo, theatre production off-broadway, re-produced Andrew Lloyd-Webber musicals, curated live experiences with Mark Ronson and Katy B for Coca-Cola and The Olympics, built playback for Magic Mike on the West End and mixed countless tracks for artists such as Youngr – just to name a few! Read some of the stories here and check out my list of published work here.

Creating on-stage playback for Magic Mike

“We were fortunate to have Lorne as our playback engineer for our recent Euro tour. In a word – exceptional. He brought professionalism and precision to every aspect, ensuring the playback experience was nothing short of extraordinary. His attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines seamlessly make him a joy to have around on tour. I highly recommend Lorne Ashley for anyone seeking a top-tier playback engineer.

Cool shit is made by cool people… and I love making cool shit

Art and expression are the most beautiful things humans have ever created. There was never a question about which route I would take in life. I first picked up a guitar and started playing the piano in 1995, and I immediately felt like I could tell people what I was feeling through these instruments. Even though whatever I was making at 8 years old was probably unlistenable, the abilities of expression it unlocked changed the rest of my life.

As the years flew by with touring, performing and writing, I further focused my skills on helping others to refine their own expressions. I help artists say what they want to express.
