Live performance and production for Youngr

Youngr is an electronic artist making original and bootleg/remix dance tunes that focus on spreading love and inclusivity. I've worked closely with Youngr for years, on everything from studio sessions to mixing, mastering and touring as the playback and MIDI engineer. It's no secret that, besides being an extraordinary artist, Youngr is also my younger brother.

The story

We'd been in bands together for 15 years. The first to take off was Picture Book, an Ableton Live looping and remixing hybrid of live drums, guitar and MIDI, back before that was easy or cool, between 2008 and 2012.

In 2015 Youngr went solo and focused that technology into making his show as fluent as possible. The hybrid live/MIDI setup is extraordinary, built on 16+ years of doing this kind of show, so helping with the setup, build, programming and maintenance of the live show on the road is a big responsibility. We still work together as artists: I support him with playback engineering on the road, production and mixing in the studio, and writing for other projects.

The result

I've supported Youngr with hands-on touring, keeping the rig running, adding redundancy, guitar solutions and build modifications. I've also recorded countless guitars, bass and lyrics, mixed more than 20 tracks and done some mastering too.
